Michigan RB Coach Wants MSU, OSU

Michigan football over the past few years hasn’t lived up to its storied history as a football powerhouse. Their down fall started under the direction of Lloyd Carr and continued under Rich Rodriguez. This season they are hoping to begin their turn around under new head coach Brady Hoke.

When Hoke was hired, he spoke about bring the tradition back to Michigan Football. Part of that tradition is winning and beating their hated rivals. However, recently many football rivalries were dwindled because of the lack of production of the wolverines. This doesn’t sit well with the new coaching staff. New running backs coach Fred Jackson reflected on losing three games to Michigan State and Ohio State over the last three years.

He said “We’ve got to get back at them.” Though he realizes the past is hard to stomach, he also knows it’s important for future success. Jackson said, “People think we’re knocked down. I’m excited about the attitude and the approach to it. If you walk every day of your life and take certain stuff, you’ve got to get back.”
