John Madden Dislike Singletary Coaching Style

13 Oct

Former NFL Coach and commentator John Madden comments on the 49ers recent play and Head Coach. In an interview with KCBS radio, he quickly goes off on 49ers Head Coach Mike Singletary sideline antics. He then addresses coaches yelling at their players. He said, “that’s really not part of coaching, that’s sometimes I worry about that. I see youth football and I see high school football and coaches yelling at players and I cringe when I see it because people get the picture that’s what coaching is and believe me, that’s not what coaching is.”

49ers Sign Former Eagle Brian Westbrook

17 Aug

For weeks the rumor mill has been turning about where the once great running back will end up. The Washington Redskins and St. Louis Rams were the teams that showed the most interest. However, RB Brian Westbrook signed with the 49ers. Westbrook last year played for the Eagles before suffering a concussion that sat him out most of the year. Apparently, the problems with his concussions must have sat well with the 49ers medical team. According to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, the deal is worth only $1.25 million.
