The guys over at CBS’s The NFL Today, James Brown, Dan Marino, Coach Cowher, Shannon Sharpe, and Boomer Esiason break down the Monday Night Football match up between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals. This game is one of those games that is guaranteed to be a physical one.

The Steelers are looking to rebound after a tough loss and the Bengals is looking for any way to starting moving their season in the right direction. Pittsburgh defense would welcome the Bengals struggling offense. Mike Tomlin will have his guys ready to play after losing to the Bengals twice last season.

NCAA College Football Rankings

This week the #1 team in the BCS won their game. The Oregon Ducks stumbled out of the gates against the University of Southern California before making a impressive showing in the second half. Also in the USA Today coaches’ poll Auburn overtook Boise State in the #2 position.

Nevada and North Carolina State moved into the top 25. While Miami and Michigan dropped out. The Big East again has no teams in the Top 25, however, Syracuse did receive votes.

Tonight’s AFC South game against the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans is a huge pivotal game for the division standings. It should also be one of the most entertaining games of the year because of the dynamic offenses that both teams possess. For the Colts it would be a much tougher games due to the lack of weapons Payton Manning have left after key injuries to his offensive players.

Earlier today I was checking out the videos from CBSSports.com on YouTube and came across a great story about Clayton Kendrick-Holmes’ the head football coach of SUNY Maritime. This is a truly inspirational story. I encourage you to take about six minutes and watch the video below. It honors our Armed Forces Members, as well as, shows the incredible sacrifices they have to make to protect the country we love so much.

This season the team is 8-0.

This past weekend of college football has had a profound effect on the polls. Of course the biggest team that had the biggest dive is Texas. However, their slide was much deserved because they played a horrible game against UCLA. The Mountaineers of West Virginia was kicked out the polls after losing to LSU.
