He then sounds off on the NFL protecting quarterbacks too much. Earlier in the season he was upset that the Ravens got flagged for questionable hits.

With the addition of TJ Houshmandzadeh to the Ravens, the team will need to find a player to get rid of. The lucky player will be former 2005 first round pick Mark Clayton. The team informed Clayton of their decision already. ESPN’s Mortenson is reporting that the trade has occurred. According to him the Rams have acquired Clayton.

Rex Ryan Visits The Island of Revis

With less than a week away from the season opener, the two sides meet face-to-face. Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News is reporting that Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan went to Florida the weekend to meet with his CB Darrelle Revis. Revis has been holding out until he receives a new contract from the Jets, but the two sides hasn’t seen eye-to-eye during negotiations. However, the report acknowledges that both sides are communicating, but, no deal is expected any time soon. ESPN is now reporting that the New York Jets and Revis has agreed in principle to a new deal.

The Jets are set to open the season against the Baltimore Ravens next Monday night and hopes to have number 24 in the lineup.

Ravens WR Donte’ Stallworth Out Until Week 8

New Ravens WR Donte’ Stallworth left Saturday’s game with a broken ankle. Head Coach John Harbaugh said Stallworth broke a bone in his foot against the Giants. He further went on to say that the injury isn’t season ending.  Stallworth will have surgery to have a screw inserted. The team hopes that he will return around week 8.
