When the NFL fined Brett Favre $50,000 last week you would’ve thought his off the field trouble was over. Well when we talk about Favre, you begin to realize to expect the unexpected.

Two massage therapists that were employed on a part time basis with the New York Jets have filed a lawsuit against the Vikings quarterback. Christina Scavo and Shannon O’Toole sued Favre for sending sexually suggestive text messages, which caused them their jobs.

Vikings’ Metrodome Roof Collapse

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald is set to make his return to the lineup week one. He practiced fully for the first time in four weeks.

Bill Parcells stepped down as the Dolphins executive vice president of football operations. He will now serve as a consultant to the team.

HOF Defensive Lineman Dan Hampton’s Poor Choice of Words

NFL Hall of Famer Dan Hampton may need to think before he speaks next time, if there is a next time. Dan Hampton said on a show called Pro Football Weekly that “The Vikings need to go down there and hit that town like Katrina”, referring to the upcoming matchup between the Saints and Vikings.

That’s a WOW what was he thinking moment.

Hampton poor word choice is highly offensive to the thousands of New Orleans residents that had to live with the pain, deaths, and heartaches from Katrina. And he should make a public apology immediately.

Sidney Rice Sidelined For 6 Weeks

A week after having arthroscopic hip surgery, Sidney Rice finds himself on the Reserve Physical Unable to Perform (PUP) List. Although this action was expected, it highlights the light numbers at receiver for the Vikings.

The conditions of the PUP list detail that a player must miss the first 6 games of the regular season before making a decision to activate for practice and thereafter to the active roster of players.

Percy Harvin To See Specialist

After his incident at practice this week Percy Harvin will go see a specialist concerning his condition. It is widely known that Harvin has had troubles growing up with migraine headaches. There has been no clear connection at this point that attributes what happen this week with recent migraine problems. Brad Childress said, “This is a puzzle we have no idea when it will be solved.” Hopefully for Harvin and the Vikings it will be resolved soon.

Childress expects Harvin to return to practice this week.

Our Good Friend Brett Favre Will Play Tonight

Days after not being with his team the entire offseason, Brett Favre arrives to camp and will start for the Vikings on Sunday Night Football. Head Coach Brad Childress told reporters that Favre will play a series or two. “That’s about all he needs right now and all he’s ready for right now”

There are also rumors that during half time NBC will have an Interview with Favre.
